The Center of Town

Lincoln has two centers, really. One is the commercial center, and we’ll cover that eventually. Today, however, we’re writing about the historic center. With the Library, the First Parish Church, and the intersections of Lincoln, Trapelo, Bedford, Sandy Pond an Weston roads (each with a stop sign – no stoplights here!) you’ve probably passed through. It’s where the Revolutionary War reenactments happen every year: Minutemen stream from local historic homes, fife and drum music is played an rifles fire. It’s a beautiful place to include on a walk, as sidewalks along Bedford Lincoln and Trapelo roads intersect here as well. Pierce Park, open to the public, is a gathering place for the summer concert-in-the-park series, picnics, soccer games, and great community activities. We’d love to hear what you notice on your next time through Lincoln center!
