Jeannine’s 26 years of experience leads her to predict the holidays are generally quiet, with few houses being shown, scarce buyer activity and little or nothing coming on the market. However 2012 did not follow suit! We had a listing go under agreement after Thanksgiving, and we showed a house to our buyer on Christmas eve and negotiated her offer Christmas day!
For all that end-of-the-year action, however, there is still VERY LITTLE inventory. We hope that this indicates prices are stabilizing. We’ll recap the 2012 market separately, but noted that there were about 12 homes on the market in Lincoln at the end of the year, down from an average of over 25 through the rest of the year.
