In January and February of 2013, we real estate agents bemoaned the historic lack of inventory on the market available for our buyer clients. In a very predictable way, when there is so little to choose from and so many buyers, when new homes come on, they often get multiple offers right away. Of the 7 that came on the market in January and February, 4 have accepted offers. Drum roll, please:
128 Lincoln Road, came on January 30, had its first accepted offer by February 6.
19 Juniper Ridge came on March 1 and had an accepted offer by March 10.
5 Longmeadow came on February 12 and had an accepted offer by February 20.
5 Stonehedge came on the market March 1 and had an accepted offer March 9.
The other three houses: 234 Tower, 80 Old Sudbury, and 60 Mill Street, all have not yet gone “under agreement.” Other homes have been listed again after being taken off the market, and still others (a short list of about 10 homes) have been on the market since 2012.
