Bedford was incorporated as a town in 1729 (!) and has a population of 14,501 (2012) with a preK-12 student population of about 2500. Bedford has one k-2 elementary school, one 3-5 elementary school, on 6-8 middle school and a 9-12 high school which serves about 850 students. It’s conveniently located about 15 miles northwest of Boston, with commuter access via Rtes 95 and 3. It is governed by an open town meeting and has lots to offer including great restaurants, shopping, conveniences and a small-town feel!
